Meditations in Psalms
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;”
Psalms 24:1 NIV
All of creation is the Lord’s. We often forget that everything is His. His richness is so great that He freely gives to us and yet His wealth is not decreased. We also forget that we belong to Him. If we would just keep these two facts in mind I think a lot of our problems would go away. How often do we end up in conflict with one another when in reality we fight for what was never ours. We struggle for our way and yet we belong to another. How can I struggle and fight for what I want when in truth I belong to the Lord. Only when I am sitting on the throne of my life can I want what’s mine. Yet nothing is mine it all belongs to Him. How foolish and waist full of our lives to live in such conflict. If it all belongs to Him then let us live in such a way that all may see that we belong to Him. No longer my will but His will. No longer my life but His life that I live through Him. All that I have and all that I have come from the Lord. So then we should live and give all for Him.
